SNES controller closeout sale
A customer who bought a Retro Duo a few weeks ago came in looking for some NES games and some new controllers, since he felt the RD’s packed-in gamepads were too stiff, which is a fair assessment. I stock some brand new SNES clone controllers, so he asked how those were. I didn’t rightly know, but I’ve sold a fair share and had no complaints, so I pulled one out of the box to let him be the judge.
From now on, I need to check on this kind of crap. While he was generally happy with the controller and the reduced price I offered upon seeing it, I prefer to stock top-level stuff. So I’ve pushed the price of these things down to $5.99 to get rid of them.
What you need to know: These controllers work pretty well, but they’re pretty cheaply made. They look cheaply made. They feel cheaply made. The d-pad is a bit stiff and the buttons are loose. I’ll look for a better alternative, but these “AVA” controllers are here if you’re looking for a cheap, potentially disposable SNES gamepad.
While I’m doing the business post, we got a fresh batch of brand new Megaman X4 in.

You might check out Messiah’s wireless SNES controllers, they seem to have a pretty good rep.
