A few days ago, Mike mentioned in passing that Kotaku used to be a bit edgy. Being the fashionably late man about town that I am, I only recently started looking at their website and making comments that never get approved. But mostly what I see is a hodge-podge mix of some actual news and a shitload of press release copy-pasting. Take this post, for example.

“Thanks, Valve!”? We’re getting an enthusiastic thumbs up because they HALF-FIXED A BROKEN PRODUCT? If that’s edgy, you guys better hold onto your gamepads, because it’s going to BLOW YOUR FREAKING MIND next week when they report that Valve actually bothered fixing the rest of the problems (see the melee spam video below and the fact that you can beat the game while lighting your cigarette) and Kotaku suggests that Valve might be bringing about the Rapture.
